These are some of the headline seen recently.

I think everyone in the UK would say that the UK is not in its best condition at the moment.

So-called ‘mainstream’ parties monopolise politics and reject any opinion which threatens their cosy consensus. Democracy in Britain is at its lowest ebb in generations.

Ted Heath signed Britain up to join the European Free Trade organisation, amd everyone thought "What a good idea, that we won't have all that red tape clogging up trade within Europe", but of course, we now know that was the start of the European Republic, with its many restrictive rules.

People throughout Europe of calling out against the European Union, as was evidenced by the vote in Ireland a few years ago. When the vote went against Europe. What was the response? VOTE AGAIN. That is not democracy!

The LibLabConspirators have made a concerted Effort to form a European Republic, and have never given British citizens a voice, but their ''Game'' is up, and the people of Great Britain, have finally realised the deception.

We now have a new political party called UKIP (United Kingdom Independance Party) who speak in clear terms of what they would like to see. They have the courage to talk about Europe, immigration, and are causing a stir in the mainstream parties.

Having seen the danger to their cosy  cosy shuffling of governments between the Socialists and the Conservatives, Dave started to attack UKIP, calling them a party of fruit cakes. Now another old donosaur of the Conservative Party has joined in with a scathing attack on UKIP as a party of ‘clowns’ supported by racists and ‘indignant, angry people’, and dismissed them as merely a protest party.

He epitomises the arrogance of the political class who are convinced they, and they alone, are uniquely equipped to rule.

Ken doesn’t extend courtesy to others who believe Britain’s future would be better outside the European Union. He has nothing but contempt for those who do.

Isn't it strange how the 'Conservatives' don't put half as much effort in to opposing Labour as they do UKIP. There would be no UKIP if the mainstream parties listened to the electorate and acted accordingly.

So what if it is a protest party? How else are we supposed to protest, if not at the ballot box?

Let us examine the ideals of UKIP;

EUROPE

Withdraw from the EU, its treaties and obligations. The party estimates a saving to the UK of £6.4billion in net contributions.

TAX

Introduce a flat rate tax at a suggested rate of 25 per cent. Make the first £13,000 of income tax-free, transferable between couples. Combined policy would cost £20billion a year. Also, scrap national insurance contributions for employers (£50billion) and abolish inheritance tax

DEFENCE

Increase defence spending by 40 per cent (£16billion) a year plus an additional £4billion a year on military equipment. Cash would go on expanding the Army to 125,000 personnel, doubling the Territorial Army and restoring the Royal Navy to its 2001 strength, with three new aircraft carriers.

EDUCATION

New grammar schools would be set up, with proper discipline restored.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Repeal 1998 Human Rights Act and withdraw from European Convention on Human Rights. In future, British courts would not be allowed override or set aside a statute of the UK Parliament on the insistance of some unelected Eurpoean Court.

IMMIGRATION

Immediate five-year freeze on immigration for permanent settlement. Fix a future target for net migration

LAW AND ORDER

Double the number of prison places, which currently stands at around 88,000. UKIP claims the cost will be around  £2billion. Withdraw from the European Arrest Warrant. Introduce boot camps for young offenders. Abolish the Crown  Prosecution Service, returning to local police prosecutions.

OVERALL SPENDING

The Tories say there is a £120billion financial black hole in UKIP’s economic plans. The chief criticism of the party is that it has produced a wish list which it has no means of paying for.

That argument equally applies to the Socialists who are calling for the Conservatives to change their policies without explaining where the money is to come from.

Of course a vote for UKIP is a Vote that will mainly concern the Tories, but then they have proved by their policies that they did not want my vote.

Until recently Labour had hoped to capitalise on the rise of UKIP, hoping it would split the centre-right vote and allow them to clinch crucial swing seats.

But recent polls suggest UKIP has taken support from all the main parties. The main three political parties have all seen the threat posed by UKIP increase over the past few years.

Conventional election wisdom among Labour had been that UKIP would only significantly harm the Tories.

But there is growing concern among Labour ranks that the anti-EU party could fatally undermine its support also.

The main parties who have done so much to destroy confidence in our political system, and when they start ganging up to suppress free speech as well, it's time to fight back.
Voting UKIP have given the population the chance to get the government to listen to them, and to take notice of the peoples demands. UKIP are voicing the demands of the population, and if the mainstream parties ignore them, they are in for a surprise.

FAREWELL TO THE IRON LADY

Prior to the funeral of Margaret Thatcher it was said and feared that large numbers of protestors were going to arrive in London to show their disapproval of her policies. There was talk of how she had divided our nation, but having watched the funeral of Margaret Thatcher it struck me that if the turnout of spectators gave an indication of support or otherwise, Margaret Thatcher would still be the Prime Minister

When Harold Wilson suddenly resigned as Prime Minister in 1976, James Callaghan was elected as his replacement. Labour had already lost its small majority in the House of Commons by the time he became Prime Minister, and further by-elections and defections forced Callaghan to deal with minor parties such as the Liberal Party, particularly in the "Lib-Lab pact" from 1977 to 1978. Industrial disputes and widespread strikes in the 1978 "Winter of Discontent" made Callaghan's government unpopular.
It seems that the Liberal partiy’s involvement in government whether I be with Labour in the 1970s or at present with the Conservative is more devisive than Margaret Thatcher.

When Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister she inherited huge debts left by the Labour Government ( remember they had been cap in hand to IMF for a bailout? ), she also had to cope with the debt of Nationalised Industries that were making huge losses due to years of continuous STRIKES, ( remember the Winter of Discontent? ). When she left office this country was wealthy again and admired around the world (remember we were called the 'Sick Man of Europe' in the 1970's?)

Miners, Trade Unionists and Left Wing bigots are still angry at Thatcher, why? She took their power and they hated it. And thank God she did because Miners and other Trade Union fodder of the 70s, you were destroying our country.


Prior to coming into power No 10 was looked upon as a social club for the trade union leaders. Their frequent unannounced visits to bully Jim Callaghan was widely talked about.

There is a lot of talk about her closing the coal mines, but remember on November 21st 1967..Dick Marsh (Minister of Power under the Wilson government) said that the closure of 400 pits was justified because ``you can`t sell any more coal and we have already got some 30 million tons of stock piled up and there is no more room to pile coal``.
In the ten years that the Labour grandee (Lord Robens)  held his post (1961-1971), about 300,000 miners lost their jobs and he closed 400 pits. In 1967 the Fuel White Paper said that by 1980, ALL pits in Scotland, Wales and Durham were to be closed...The loses of the coal industry were eating up the wealth of the whole nation`

Often during the funeral of Margaret Thatcher mining union men from Easington Colliery would appear to spew their vitriole about her, saying she had ruined a community, but if you look at the web site for the Easington Colliery Club & Institute Ltd. There is little evidence of that.

Dave Hopper, general secretary of the Durham Miners Association, when asked, What did this day mean to him? said "Well I've been waiting 20 years for it," The slogan on his T-shirt read, "A generation of trade unionists will dance on Thatcher's grave."

On the morning of the funeral people gathered outside Easington Colliery Club where a few committee members claimed it was to acknowledge the 20th anniversary of the closure of the last pit in the north-east. Everybody else, including the Durham Miners' Association, which funded the event, said it was to celebrate the death of Margaret Thatcher.

One disgruntled former miner Derek Walker, said "They've bottled it, Whatever they say, we're here to celebrate." a friend and former miner, Charlie Burroughs,  said he poured a drink when he heard the news. "A bottle of Glenfiddich. I'd been keeping it for the right occasion."

Walker added: "I promised myself I'd take a week off work when she died – and I have done." What work did he do? Walker grinned. "I'm unemployed at the moment."

Arthur Scargill was the union official that ruined the once proud miners. Sadly they followed him to their death, and was no more than an attempt to overthrow a democratically elected government.

Scargill is now every bit as entrenched and bitter as was his war with Lady Thatcher, but these days it is with the Union that he once led. He has been involved in various disputes with the NUM.
He recently failed in a court bid to get the shrunken NUM to pay for his grace-and-favour flat in the Barbican, but to a few, diehard ex-miners in his old South Yorkshire stamping ground he remains a working-class hero.



Arthur Scargill, the marxist zealot destroyed the british coal industry, with his uncompromising attitude.
Scargill brainwashed his members into striking, the miners did not ballot to strike, and all he achieved was to accelerate the demise of the coal industry which was proving to be more and more expensive to maintain due to extraction difficulties.
Yes, the miners lost and communities were torn apart. But did the union leaders lose? Well if you look at the house that Scargill live in you will see the answer.
Scargill has become a 'champagne socialist' with a Barbican apartment, which he is bitter about having to fund from his pension rather than the Union dues of miners
Margaret Thatcher targeted the unproductive, many northern industries were heavily subsidized by the state and constant union action was crippling this countries global competitiveness. The miners aregue that the mines should have remained open, but that would have meant that the state was paying for miners to do non jobs. The Coal was already running out, but to this day they are still sulking about it.

Ask yourself what if maybe we made the argument that it's time to re-open the mines if it's becoming more expensive to import, do you think that those old miners would be scurrying back to work.

The problem now, is that the labour governments following on from Margaret Thatcher curried support in the north east by opening up huge office buildings and “de centralised” the civil service, to provide “jobs” that have grown cushier over the years and the thought of many from the north east going into heavy industry and mining is abhorrent. They want to keep their hands clean, but still perpetuate the story of how Margaret Thatcher ruined heavy industry.

To David Cameron (Prime Minister) & Ed Milliband (Leader of the Opposition) ...

You BOTH Worry me ! ( In fact both of your Political parties worry the hell out of me !!!)

Over the last three years, I find myself becoming more and more fearful of the pair of you, and between you, you are turning this country into a place that I no longer feel at home in, or feel a part of! I watch you in parliament, and no, not just the two of you, but every politician that I see, stand up in parliament sneering at each other, and acting like children !!! (..and if you were my children, I would be ashamed of you all ... What an example to set!)

Although you would like us all to believe that you are putting the needs of this country at the forefront, NEITHER of you are doing that, you seem more interested in "one-up-manship ", in scoring off each other, & denigrating each other, to the detriment of this country & its people !!! It seems to be all about YOU as individuals, and not about what you can DO for this country !
It is fast becoming a place that I do not recognize, as the place I always thought, was the best place in the world to be !!!  But no longer !!!

I am watching the deterioration of living standards in this country, (and according to you, on a world stage we are doing better than most countries ... REALLY ???) ... And yet the gap is widening between the "haves" and the "have-nots" . I see our homeless on the streets, our hospitals under-funded, and understaffed, our health system is an absolute mess and a disgrace ... And yet I see multi-millions of dollars being sent offshore, in aid to other countries, before attending to this country's needs !

I see the "selling off of water rights to foreign interests, WHY...?  Especially when you go to great lengths to tell us that water is a finite resource, & supposedly, we must ALL be careful with how we use it, so that we ensure we have it for the future ? A Carbon Tax,( which you KNOW is just another tax ) which will make NO appreciable difference, to carbon emissions, AT ALL!
A tax, which in spite of all your arguments FOR it, you are doing alone, when other major countries will NOT & DO NOT embrace it, or believe in it !

All that it will do for this country is put working families and small businesses behind the eight ball, .....what planet are you on, if you think that the tax we must pay will make even a scrap of difference to the effect of the carbon tax on people? Anyone can see the holes in that argument !!! Do you really think we are that dumb ???

Let's talk about Multiculturalism ......People have come here from other countries, for a better life, for more years than I have been alive ( I am 72 years old !)

Pre & Post war immigrants came for a better life, and settled in and became wonderful contributors to this country, ... all have contributed to the rich diversity of this country, and some descendants have even fought FOR this country, and they have become U.K.citizens and were glad to be ...and they had NO handouts from our Government either, ...they worked hard for everything!
I have never before had a problem with all, or any, race of immigrants coming here. However, I DO NOW !!!

Please tell me why we have areas in towns and on large estates all over the country, where police do NOT, & will NOT go, for fear of their life ?
Please tell me why we can no longer have religion in schools for fear of "OFFENDING" someone ? (The latest little gem is that they are not having or being funded, for chaplains any more, but Counsellors!)
Please tell me why religious Christmas observances are no longer allowed in some schools for fear of OFFENDING someone ? Please tell me HOW Christmas decorations in some stores might OFFEND someone ? Please tell me why we have to have segregated days in some swimming centres for fear of "OFFENDING" someone ? Please tell me why we have some RADICAL clerics demanding Sharia Law in this country when if we were in THEIR country, this would NEVER be allowed? Please tell me why our laws need to be changed, so as not to OFFEND someone ? Please tell me why we are fast becoming a MINORITY voice, in our own country, because of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ? Please tell me WHY Britons cannot legally wear a bike helmet covering their head in a bank and yet it is ok to wear a Burqa which covers the whole of the face ? And please tell me WHY, when those people who want asylum here can wreck our detention centres and STILL be accepted here ?


What does that say about just who and what are this government's priorities ?
The British people that I speak to have genuine concerns about becoming a second class minority in our own country, and the reasons for it are some of the above. Are you so blind that you cannot see this ? And no, I am NOT racist !!!  If I did not like Catholics or Protestants would I be considered racist ? Of course not!

Why is it, that if we object to what is happening in our country we are immediately labelled RACIST, in an attempt to shut us up ?

We are fighting Radical Muslims in Afghanistan & Iraq , are we not ? I hear you say, yes but the Muslims we have here are "Not like that " . Well how would we know ? Do we hear ANY of them coming out & speaking AGAINST radicals ? I haven't, have you ? Islam is not compatible with ANY of the values that we hold here in Britain ! Are not the experiences of France and the Netherlands a examples of that? Why do you think it would be any different here ? We even have a British born "radical ", whose message is that Britain WILL become a Muslim country, under Sharia Law, & that we had "better get used to it ".

Will both of you grow some "balls", and start sticking up for this country and its people ? We are the people who put you where you are and PAY you to look after our interests !  And you are NOT doing that by any stretch of the imagination !!!  I would appreciate an answer from both of you, if only to convince me that once again I am not talking to a brick wall !
In case it has escaped both of you I would like to remind you that, in the U.K. Government is FOR THE PEOPLE ... OF THE PEOPLE ... & BY THE PEOPLE ...  Never forget that because you sure have up till now !

Police Commissioner farce.

Britain's first youth crime commissioner has withdrawn from the role after it emerged she posted a string of offensive comments on Twitter.

Paris Brown, 17, said "I have made the decision to decline the offer of the position of Kent Youth Police and Crime Commissioner,"

"I have made this decision after a great deal of thought and consultation with my family.

"As I made clear over the weekend, I accept that I have made comments on social networking sites which have offended many people. I am really sorry for any offence caused.

In her Tweets she wrote: "Im (sic) either really fun, friendly and inclusive when Im drunk or Im an anti social, racist, sexist, embarrassing a*******. often its the latter."

Other posts seemed to refer to immigrants as "illegals" and gay people as "fags", while others appeared to endorse binge drinking.

Miss Brown made a tearful statement amid a media storm over her comments

"I strongly reiterate that I am not racist or homophobic. I have fallen into the trap of behaving with bravado on social networking sites. I hope this may stand as a learning experience for many other young people."

She added that she felt the "recent media furore" would continue to hamper her ability to perform the job to the level required.

Kent Police and Crime Commissioner Ann Barnes said: "It is a very, very sad day."

She said Miss Brown was "an extraordinary young person with exceptional skills and a proven track record with working with young people" who has "turned down the position of a lifetime".

"I was not recruiting an angel," she said. "I was not recruiting a police officer. I was recruiting a young person, warts and all. It is personally sad for Paris and her family.

What exceptional skills has a 17 year old got that is going to make a marked difference to the running of the police force in Kent. This was a total waste of taxpayers money, as is the whole Police Commissioner farce. The money would have been better spent recruiting Police Officers to police our streets.

It seems illogical that a Government whose top priority is supposed to be cutting the deficit, should have spent so much money on a peripheral project almost nobody except Ministers cared a hoot about and created a new level of Bureaucracy with the power to set budgets as well as hire chief constables. Police commissioners will be paid up to £100,000 each, excluding expenses.

Each vote cast for a police commissioner cost the taxpayer £14, making it the most expensive election in British history. The poll, which cost £75 million to administer, saw just 5.34 million people – one in six of the electorate – vote.

Conservatives won 16 of the new positions, Labour won 13 and independents triumphed in 12 areas, bringing the independence of the Police Force in the UK under the control of politicians for the first time since 1839.

Primary object of a Police Officer, size you up for compensation?

Kelly Jones has instructed Pattinson Brewer solicitors to take action against a petrol station owner claiming he failed to keep her safe as she investigated the suspected break-in at the Nuns’ Bridges service station in Thetford, Norfolk.

In a case that has caused uproar, ex-officers will be throwing their heads in their hands when they read about the grasping WPC Jones.
The simple word for this is a scam, and borders on intimidation of the garage owner to pay out for a situation that was of her own making. There is no doubt that she has brought the Force into disrepute a disciplinary offence. Gone are the days when the police served the public.

When officers sign up and put on the uniform they are aware that the job contains elements of both public service and risk – chasing villains and keeping us safe is a primary object, and not sizing you up for compensation while they’re fighting crime? 

Officers are being encouraged to make claims by a hotline run by the Police Federation, and they should feel equally guilty, as should the money grabbing ambulance chasers.
It is a fact that in the UK Politicians, the Press, the Legal profession and now the Police are increasingly being looked upon by the public with distaste, as being corrupt and dishonest.  

In 1829 Sir Richard Mayne wrote:
"The primary object of an efficient police is the prevention of crime: the next that of detection and punishment of offenders if crime is committed. To these ends all the efforts of police must be directed. The protection of life and property, the preservation of public tranquillity, and the absence of crime, will alone prove whether those efforts have been successful and whether the objects for which the police were appointed have been attained."
In attaining these objects, much depends on the approval and co-operation of the public, and these have always been determined by the degree of esteem and respect in which the police are held.

Having been a serving police officer (and proud to have worn the uniform), it would never have entered my mind, or any of my colleagues to sue anyone. I'm glad I never had to serve with anyone of this calibre.

She's a disgrace to the force!! And I suggest she spends a part of her sick leave to read about some real police personnel by clicking the following link, and then go into a dark corner and hang her head in shame.

A brilliant social analogy for the UK!... The Bird Feeder I bought a bird feeder..  I hung it on my patio and  Filled it lovingly with seed...  It was indeed a beautiful bird feeder. Within a week we had hundreds  of birds taking advantage of the Continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table,  and next to the barbecue..   Then came the bird shit.   It was everywhere;  on the patio tiles, the chairs, the table .... everywhere!   Then some of the birds turned mean.  They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore.  So I took down the bird feeder  and in three days the birds were gone.  I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal...  Now let's see ........ our government gives out free food, subsidised housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the millions.  Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for the free services;  small flats are housing 5 or  more families;  you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by a doctor in an emergency surgery because it is filled with illegal non tax payers; your child's year 12 class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than 'The Union Jack' are squawking and screaming  in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Its just my opinion but: maybe, just maybe, it's time for the government to take down the damn bird feeder.
